June 2015 iPhone Desktop Wallpapers Citrus
June 2015 iPhone Desktop Wallpapers Citrus

I hope yall had great Memorial Day Weekends! We had a blast at my parents river house doing a whole lot of hammock sitting, boat adventuring, napping, etc. :). So much for all those projects I had planned to take on! There are some times when youve gotta get things done and other times where its worth it to make yourself do very little. I think my husband and I both needed the down time and this long weekend gave us the exactly what we needed. What did yall do?
Today Ive got a fun, free download for you - Junes iPhone and desktop wallpapers! I had a great time putting these citrus-themed wallpapers together. I figured since June is the real start of summer that something like this would be a nice way to celebrate a new season.
You can download both a blank wallpaper and a wallpaper with a calendar (which I find to be super handy!) for your gadgets. Each version comes in two colors: orange and turquoise. Download one or all of them! Enjoy!
Use the links below each photo to download the version youd like...

July 2015 iPhone Desktop Wallpapers Free Download

I love using these wallpapers as an excuse to get creative with my design skills and so each months looks quite different from the last. This month I was inspired by a rug I spotted in a bold pattern with stripes going all different directions. I had a lot of fun coming up with these asymmetric stripes and decided on a whim to make some of them GOLD. How fun is that? I think these might be some of my favorite patterns to date.
As a nod to the upcoming July 4th holiday, I decided to go sorta patriotic and make one version in red and another in blue. I also chose a couple of different typefaces since Ive had a few requests for more masculine versions of the calendars. ;) Scroll through the options below!

Java Desktop Search tool
Java Desktop Search tool
I find that the Google Desktop Search tool, is an extremly usefull tool. But one that has many disadvantages, it is very MS orientated. It can only read emails from MS apps, can only read web history from IE, it can only read Word document (by default). As many people goes about and try to figure on how to add the FireFox web history into GDS, perhaps there is another way.
Since Ive used Lucene before and find this an extremly good search tool/API for java, which is very lean and quick; I came up with an idea, Why not make this in Java? This would be a blast for all Linux users as well, since there is no GDS for linux (right?). Of course it will probably be hard to pair up with the searching techniques done by Google, since theyve done this for years. But I still think there is an opportunity here for an open-source project that can work in all platforms.
By making it in java, it would be very simpel to add other searches, such as:
- MP3 files ID3 tags
- Thunderbirds emails
- Columba emails (Java based email program)
- Open office documents
- Miranda chat logs
- ICQ chat logs, etc...
But I wonder if there are already any very light weight web servers that can be used for this?
One problem is that google is going to fill this void, so its either now or never!
